Dry Valley Ranch is set in a live watercolor painting of Southern Utah landscape on an isolated corner of Kodachrome Basin. 

Passion, perseverance, and a little luck brought this amazing property to two of our most obsessive desert loving friends.  Building on a tight budget, the goal for this project was to set roots for a dreamy future life of full-time ranch life with Hell’s Backbone inspired dreams of living from the land. 

This humble home is completely off-grid, with an 800 foot deep well, over-sized solar array, and exceptionally efficient building envelope.  Little ‘a’ architecture, the home focuses on natural light, panoramic views, and watching the shadows slowly roll across the cliffs beyond.  Que up Hermanos Gutierrez, grab a cup of coffee, and do nothing for a few days!
